The Rug Checker Scanner

This is the heart of the site. A visitor pastes a token's contract address, picks a blockchain (or leaves it on Auto Detect), and the scanner runs a full safety analysis in seconds.

What the scanner checks

• Liquidity - how much money is in the trading pool, and whether it's locked or burned
• Honeypot behavior - whether buyers can actually sell the token again
• Buy/sell tax - the percentage fee taken automatically on trades
• Contract ownership - whether the owner can mint new tokens, pause trading, or change taxes
• Holder concentration - how much of the supply sits in the top wallets

How results are shown

Every scan produces its own permanent report page (e.g. /coin/token-name) with:

• A 0-100 safety score and letter grade (A/B/C/D/F)
• A pass/fail breakdown of every individual security check
• Live price, liquidity, market cap and 24h volume
• A "Re-scan now" button, since contracts and liquidity can change over time

All tools are enable/disable-able. From Admin → Tools Manager, you can turn off any tool. A disabled tool's URL automatically redirects to your styled 404 page instead of showing a broken feature.

First thing to do after installing: log in with the default admin / admin123 credentials and immediately change the password from Admin → Account.

How To Use RugProof (Visitor Walkthrough)

1 - Find a contract address

Copy it from the project's official website or a trusted source like DexScreener - never from a random social media message.

2 - Paste it into the scanner

On the homepage, paste the address and leave the chain selector on "Auto Detect" unless you already know the chain.

3 - Read the safety score and checks

Look at the 0-100 score, then scroll through each individual security check rather than trusting the number alone.

4 - Cross-verify with the Honeypot Detector

For an extra layer of confidence, especially on new or hyped tokens, run the same address through the dedicated Honeypot Detector tool.

5 - Use the other tools for full research

Check Radar and Smart Money Radar for trading activity, and use the calculators to plan your entry before you buy.
